This request is to solicit industry recommendations for new technologies for the Minuteman Weapon System Guidance and Control Liquid Cooler (GCLC). The Air Force anticipates a requirement to replace the current GCLC in order to extend supportability through the year 2020. Previous GCLC life extension upgrades eliminated ozone depleting refrigerants, however, GCLC support ability remains limited by parts non-availability and other maintenance concerns. As part of a long range planning effort, the Air Force is gathering data on current liquid cooler technology available in industry. This information will then be used to evaluate the long term benefits of a GCLC replacement using that technology. Responses are to be received by 30 May 1997. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; it is a request for information only and will not result in a government contract. The government will not pay for the information requested.
