It is the Governments intent to issue an indefinite quantity, firm fixed price requirement for Modular Sleep System components to be manufactured in accordance with Commercial Item Description A-A-55262 dated November 15, 1994. The solicitation will be issued on a partial "unrestricted" basis and a partial "small business set-aside" basis. The solicitation will utilize best value source selection procedures. The evaluation factors will be Product Demonstration Model (PDM), Past Performance, Socioeconomic Program Support, and DLA Mentoring Business Agreements. The contract will be for the following components and quantities: Compression Stuff Sack, minimum of 59,394 each and maximum of 118,788 each; Sleeping Bag, Intermediate Cold Weather, minimum of 39,870 each and maximum of 79,740 each; and Sleeping Bag, Patrol, minimum of 47,796 each and maximum of 95,592 each. The solicitation will also contain a 100% term option. Deliveries will be required beginning 180 days after date of award to Defense Depot, Mechanicsburg, PA and Defense Depot, Tracy, CA.
