Work consists of abatement and disposal of lead-based paint, asbestos, ballasts containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and thermostats containing mercury (Hg) from existing structures in various locations. Work will include related repairs where required and replacement of abated materials. Actual quantity of work performed will be authorized by task orders issued to the contractor. Duration of Contract is Base Period plus three option periods. Minimum guarantee for the base period is $50,000. Estimated maximum guarantee is $2,500,000 per period. The specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD ROM, and/or the internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
