The work shall consists of construction of approximately 10,300 square feet of office warehouse space, within an existing warehouse, for the new USPS Stamp Distribution Office at Annex B, Birmingham, Alabama. The construction will include but not limited to: perform demolition on existing items as required, install concrete footings, concrete blocks, metal stud walls, plumbing for one toilet room, one breakroom, install four heat pumps, and related ductwork and exhaust system, install VCT flooring, rubber base, suspended acoustical ceiling, and paint concrete block and gypsum board walls, install doors and related hardware, install new lay in flourescent lights, emergency lights, power outlets and power to equipment. Restore adjacent surfaces affected by this work to like-new condition. Perform work in accordanc with applicable code, local ordinances, or industry standards, whichever is more stringent. The Contractor shall guarantee workmanship and materials for one year form date of acceptance. The Contractor will also be required to coordinate and cooperate with Security Contractor (separate contract), such as conduits. All work shall be done during the hours 8:00 am and 5:00 pm or as otherwise coordinated with the facility manager. A TWENTY PERCENT (20%) PROPOSAL BOND IS REQUIRED WITH EACH PROPOSAL. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS WILL BE REQUIRED FROM THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR.
