The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit technical and price proposals for TR-338( )/BQS and TR-338(A)/BQS Sonar Transducers. First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT) will be required. If supplies identical or substantially identical to those called for herein have been previously furnished by the offeror and accepted by the Government, the requirement for first article approval may be waived by the Contracting Officer. One unit of the TR-338 and two units of the TR-338(A ) will be required for FAAT. Acceptance testing will be performed by the Government. First year production quantity will be 34 units of TR-338 and 10 units of TR-338(A). If FAAT is not required, first year production quantity will be 35 units of TR-338 and 12 units of TR-338(A). Second year option quantity will be between 15 and 30 units TR-338 and 15 and 38 units of TR-338(A). Third year option quantity will be between 15 and 30 units TR-338 and 15 and 38 units of TR-338(A). F.O.B. Origin, inspection and acceptance at origin. Delivery to Williamsburg, Virginia. Acquisition is unrestricted; standard industry code (SIC) is 3812. Anticipate solicitation will be available in the April/May timeframe. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value to the Government. Evaluation Factors: Technical Capability including Past Performance and Cost including cost of Government FAAT.
