65 -- MATERIAL WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM SOL F41636-97-R0049 DUE 041897 POC MSgt. Grant or Shirley J. Jones tel: (210) 671-1754 Acquisition of Regulated Material Waste System (RMW). This system is required to safely dispose of regulated material waste. This system must be capable of handling a monthly average of 100,000 lbs. The proposed system must sterilize the waste then compact it. In case of sharps, the items must be sent through a grinder so that is unrecognizable and them compacted. The system must meet all EPA, OSHA, and FDA standards. This acquisition has been set-aside 100% for Small Business Concerns. All responses to the solicitation must include detailed description of process followed to accomplish the sterilization of the RMW. Training will be required on any system offered. This training is to be detailed on-site maintenance and user training. Maintenance manuels will be included for 6 maintenance personnel and 4 operators. A preventative maintenance contract for years following the warranty year will be offered as an option. Option period for the preventative maintenance will include a basis year plus four Option years. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. Only written request for solicitation will be accepted.
