No separate quotation package is being developed. All pertinent information is inclusive in this notice. Quotations are due by COB 4:30 p.m. on April 30, 1997. FAX quotations to Patricia Faller, Small Procurement Contracting Officer at (360) 750-5081 until April 16, 1997. (Forest Headquarters is relocating and telephones/FAX will not be available until April 21, 1997.) After April 21, 1997 FAX quotations to (360) 891-5081. All quotations must include FOB Destination, and delivery of bridge and components must be by September 1, 1997. Description of Items: 1. Portable steel bridge superstructure 50'0" long with 13' minimum/16'maximum width travelway. Design load to be HS-20. 2. Piling for bulkheads on each end to close off ends of bridge. 3. Precast concrete sills to provide bearing support for bridge at 5% grade. Specifications: 1. Structural steel members to be ASTM A572 or A36. Steel will be blast-cleaned and painted with a three (3) coat alkyd paint. Color to be tan or beige. 2. Deck should be ready to receive asphalt surface. 3. Curb to be pressure-treated timber, blocked up by 6"x6" blocks and bolted to deck. 4. Bearing plates, elastomeric pads and hardware to be incidental. 5. Shop drawings and calculations for the superstructure shall be prepared by a licensed Engineer. Directions to Destination: From Vancouver, WA take I-5 North 9 miles to Exit 9 to Battle Ground, WA. Travel East on SR-502 for 8 miles to the city of Battle Ground, WA. Take SR-503 North for 17 miles through the community of Amboy, WA to the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument at Chelatchie Prairie, WA. The bridge unloading site is located approximately 500' behind the Monument Headquarters office and is accessible by commercial carrier. Purchaser will unload bridge and components.
