perform routine Dockside Vessel Maintenance including, but not limited
to the following Minimum Items: 1) Renew Barge Fuel Oil Line
Coalescer/Filter Unit/MDE Fuel Oil Piping/Weathertight and Joiner
Doors/Spud Well Liners. 2) Modify Potable Water Shore Tile and Install
Transfer Pump. 3) Install New Spud Well Liners 4) Preserve Barge Deck.
5) Provide Temporary Messing/Berthing/Logistics. Indefinite Items
include: Additional Temporary Messing/Berthing/Logistics. Vessel's
homeport is Mayport, FL. Vessel length is 75 foot, Island Construction
Tender. Vessel availability schedule is 04 August 1997 for twenty one
days. The place of performance for this vessel is geographically
restricted from Tampa, FL to Philadelphia, PA via Intra Coastal
Waterway. There will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 in the form
of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for
requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for
viewingat 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are not
presently available for this procurement. The government's obligation
under this solicitation is contingent upon availability of appropriated
funds from which payment for contractual purposes can be made. The
proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 26 Apr 1997. All responsible sources may submit a
bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. This
notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU)
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
