or Mrs. Jeanette Sweeting The work includes minor repairs for two
17,000 barrel bulk fuel storage tanks, Tank 126 (MOGAS) and Tank 127
(DFM, presently empty). These repairs include but are not limited to
welding small patch plates, puddle welds, and repair of defective
welds. Provide a MOGAS fuel transfer system to enable fuel to be moved
between Tanks 126 and 127. The system includes a pump, piping, valves,
fittings and other piping appurtenances for the fuel transfer system.
Provide a concrete pipe trench, pump pit, and appurtenances for the
fuel transfer system. Provide electrical service and controls for the
fuel transfer pump. During execution of this contract, fuel will be
transferred from Tank 126 to Tank 127 by others. Tank 126 will be
cleaned and inspected by others to identify specific work. Close
coordination between contractors is essential for the successful
completion of this work. Tentative issue date of solicitation is 19 May
1997. Bid opening date of 08 July 1997 is approximate. The estimated
cost range for this project is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. SIC
Code is 1799. The related small business standard is $7,000,000.00.
Period of performance is 285 calendar days. The resulting contract will
be a firm fixed price contract. This procurement solicitation will be
issued as full and open competition (unrestricted). This is not set
aside for small business concerns. Therefore, replies are requested
from all business concerns. Written requests may be submitted to the
above address or by FAX to (011) 5399-4896. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT
BE ACCEPTED. A limited number of solicitation packages will be
available and issued on a first come, first serve basis. A CHARGE WILL
BE MADE FOR EACH SET OF SPECIFICATION AND PLANS. THE COST IS $25.00
FOR EACH SET. THIS PRICE INCLUDES FIRST CLASS PRIORITY MAIL POSTAGE.
THESE SETS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE UPON RECEIPT OF A WRITTEN REQUEST AND
A NON-REFUNDABLE CHECK OR MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO U.S. TREASURY. SETS
WILL NOT BE FORWARDED UNTIL RECEIPT OF CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. Your

Requesters are advised that due to our remote geographical location and
aircraft availability, first class U.S. Mail can take 14 days both to
and from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Federal Express is available at bidder's
expense. However, bidders are advised to allow six (6) days for
delivery. Bidders who desire Federal Express of solicitation packages
should include a statement as such in their request, as well as their
Federal Express account number. There is a $10.00 freight charge to use
Federal Express, payable to the airline being utilized. This
