Matthews -- (804)327-0540/Camille Melton -- (804)327-0542 PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR A DODEA 7-12 LANGUAGE USAGE AND COMPOSITION PROGRAM AND A DODEA 7-12 LITERATURE PROGRAM FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DEPENDENTS SCHOOLS SYSTEM. MDA414-97-R-0003 DUE 071197. Provide instructional materials for a language usage and composition program and a literature program, seventh through twelfth grade, for the Department of Defense Dependents Schools System. Contractors will be required to submit student textbooks or equivalents, teachers editions of student texts, teacher resource packages, assessment materials for the program and technological and multimedia materials, if any, as well as provide professional support services for teachers, coordinators, and administrators which shall be evaluated by the Government. One award will be made for 7 -- 12 Language Usage and Composition and one award for 7 -- 12 Literature. Contractors must submit one complete set of sample materials for each grade level represented therein to be considered for that grouping. Materials will be evaluated for: correlation with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools Language Usage and Composition and Literature content standards, quality of the assessment materials, and fair and equal treatment of diverse students. Contractors may submit more than one proposal; however, each proposal must be independently submitted and will be independently evaluated. Contractors shall not submit any languge usage and composition or literature instructional materials for review to schools, teachers, coordinators, or other employees of the Department of Defense Education Activity or Department of Defense Dependents Schools during this solicitation phase. The contract willbe a requirements type; performance period is estimated as a base period and four, twelve months, option periods. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The proposed solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 23 May 1997.
