synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in
the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in the notice. No written
solicitations will be issued. (II) This solicitation is issued as RFQ
132-0057. (III) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions
are those in effect through FAC 90-45. (IV) This solicitation is 100%
set aside for Small Business. The Standard Industrial Class- ification
(SIC) code is 3449, with a size standard of 500 employees. (V) Line
Item #1: 2" x 2" x 3/16" Angle Iron, steel -- 13,200 feet; Line Item
#2: 3" x 3" x 3/16" Angle Iron, steel -- 7,000 feet; Line Item #3:
12-gauge Sheet Steel, plate steel, 5' x 8' sheets, 14,000 square feet.
(IV) Delivery to be made no later than thirty (3) days from date of
award. F.O.B. Destination. Delivery address: U.S. Penitentiary, Attn:
Receiving Depot, 1300 Metropolitan Ave., Leavenworth KS 66048 (VII) FAR
provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 95)
is hereby included by reference, with the following addenda: At
paragraph C, Period of Acceptance of Offers, offeror agrees to hold
offered prices for sixty (60) calendar days from date specified for
receipt of offers. At paragraph H, Multiple Awards, the contracting
officer has determined that multiple awards are not applicable in this
solicitation and is hereby removed in its entirety for purposes of
this requirement. (VIII) FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror
Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 96) will be
completed by offeror prior to award. (IX) FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract
Terms and Conditions-Com- cial Items (Oct 95) hereby applies to this
solicitation, with the following addendum: at paragraph G, Invoice,
