A -- JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER-JOINT DISTRIBUTED INFORMATION SYSTEM(JDIS)CONCEPT SOL N00019-97-R-0021 POC Contact, Denise Hanley, Phone (703)604-6100 The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office intends to award a $6.0 million sole source contract to TRW to continue the technology maturation of the Joint Distributed Information System (JDIS) concept. Through the Advanced Strike Integrated Diagnostics (ADIS) effort, the JSFF Program has determined additional risk reduction effort is required to implement the JSF advanced Prognostics and Health Management architecture. TRW will investigate and resolve functional interface, data security, communications and inter-service issues. They will define the JDIS archetecture and operational concept. The effort includes the documentation of requirements, JDIS archetecture, components and functions to support JSF Engineering and Manufacturing Development and Operations Support Phases. TRW will also develop and integrte the necessary hardware and software to demonstrate JDIS. From the demonstration, they will document an implementation plan for JDIS.
