A -- ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPUTATIONAL AND STANDARDIZATION SUPPORT (ECASS) SOL DNA001-93-C-0126 POC Jennifer Bertuna, Negotiator, (703) 325-9368, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. This effort is a sole source modification to Mission Research Corporation (MRC). The primary objective of this modification is to complete the development and revisions of high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) environment and protection standards, including the conduct of electromagnetic interaction analysis necessary for quantifying HEMP hardening performance requirements. MRC possesses unique capabilities and experience in this technical area. Since MRC participated in the development of the HEMP environment and hardening standardization documents, they have an in-depth knowledge of the technical issues. It is not feasible at this point to have another contractor do this work. By extending the current contract with MRC, there will be numerous technical, schedule and cost-saving advantages.
