Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to solicit through a competitive set-aside procurement among participants of the Section 8(a) Program of the Small Business Administration, to provide technical management, administrative and technical services, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of main and auxiliary hull, mechanical and electical equipment (HM&E) on board US government vessels. The vessels are located pierside, in drydocks Sustain AFDM-7, Dynamic AFDL-6 and/or any other drydock furnished by Commander, Regional Support Group (CRSG), Norfolk, VA. Services shall be preformed on US vessels located at the Naval Operations Base At Norfolk, VA, the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Norfolk, CA and other locations within a 60-mile radius of the contractor's facility. Repairs are to include maintenance and modification of the drydocks themselves. The services include, but not limited to development of repair and maintenance schedules, research and retrievalof applicable technical documentation, preform required repairs and maintenance, and provide designated documentation and develop inspection checklists, test procedures, and deficiency and maintenance planning databases on designated ship systems. The services are to be provided on a Labor Hour, Time and Material, Requirements type basis. Services are required for the period 01 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with four one year renewal options. All responsible sources may be submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Fleet an Industrial Supply Center. Request for solicitation should be made by letter or telegram directed to FISC code 0343 reference N00140-97-R-1754. The solicitation is expected to be issued approximately 25 April 1997.
