The U.S. Department of the Interior anticipates negotiating with Cherokee Boys Club, Inc., in Cherokee, North Carolina, to provide on site-instruction on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of Youth Programs, to unemployed and disadvantaged youths at the Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center in Cherokee, North Carolina, for the following services: General Education, Health, Driver Education, Reading, Math, High School Equivalency, Part-Time Tutor/Substitute, Building Maintenance, Welding, Health Occupations, Educational Technician, Arts and Crafts, and additional miscellaneous services as required Services shall be provided from July 1, 1997, through June 30, 1998, with an option to extend services for an additional four (4) one-year periods. As this acquisition will be awarded in accordance with the Buy Indian Act, source must be a 100% Indian-owned organization. This acquisition is also set-aside for a labor surplus area concern. No solicitation document exists. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A request for solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response, however, if issuance of a solicitation is determined appropriate, requesting firms will be included on the mailing list.
