This presolicitation notice is issued to solicit sources for the Maintenance Dredging with Ocean Disposal for Sandy Hook Channel, New Jersey. The resulting contract will involve the removal and satisfactory disposal of all material (with approximate volume of 150,000 cubic yards) except ledge rock lying above the plane of 35 feet below mean water with disposal of the material at the mud dump ocean disposal site. The resulting contract will also involve the dredging of sand (with approximate volume of 1,200,000 cubic yards) and beneficial use including the removal and satisfactory disposal of all material except ledge rock lying above the plane of 45 feet below mean low water with placing of the material at the mud dump ocean disposal site as capping material. This solicitation may result in a multiple award contract. The estimated value is between $1 million and $5 million. The solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The SIC Code is 1629 with a size standard of $13.5 million average annual revenue. The solicitation document will be issued on or about 15 May 1997. Bid opening date will be on or about 15 June 1997.
