The ACC Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a non-competitive, sole source contract Spectrum Sciences and Software Inc., for HAZARD Software and Weapon Safety Descriptors for use by US Air Force, US Navy, and associated units. HAZARD Software is for the collection, storage, manipulation, and display of data and weapon safety descriptors for air-to-surface munitions delivery at weapons ranges. Weapon Safety Descriptors are two-dimensional geometric shapes ( footprints ) defining the minimum land requirements needed for the safe employment of given munitions, from specific aircraft types, under specified release conditions, over a variety of soil densities and target types. The purchase will include weapon safety descriptors and software, associated licenses, software support services, and manuals. The proposed contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract, Basic Year and four option years from date of contract award. This procurement is authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
