Line-of-Sight Anti-Tank (LOSAT) Advanced Concept Technology
Demonstration (ACTD). Assuming approval by the Office of the Deputy
Under Secretary of Defense (Advanced Technology) of the candidate LOST
ACTD Program, the U.S. Army Missile Command intends to issue request
for proposal (RFP) DAAH01-97-R-0126 on a sole source basis to Lockheed
Martin Vought Systems, Dallas, Texas for the prime contract on the
LOSAT Weapon System Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration Program.
This effort, planned for award in January 1998, will include design,
test, integration, demonstration, and management of the kinetic energy
missile (KEM) and weapons module and its carrier vehicle, plus options
for a two year logistics support for fielded residual hardware, and
follow-on maturation development. This synopsis is for notification of
subcontracting opportunities must be arranged directly with Lockheed
Martin Vought Systems and any potential subcontractors. Period of
performance will be from contract award through 60 months after
contract award, plus an additional 24 months for options. The LOSAT
ACTD will contain both classified and unclassified data and data whose
export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, USC Sec
2751 Et Seq) or the Export Administration Act (Title 50, USC App
2401-2402). Foreign industry may participate at the subcontractor level
in relation to the LOSAT prime contractor. Foreign industry and/or
non-U.S. citizens desiring a copy of the releasable portion of the RFP
MUST submit an official request through their respective embassy,
Washington, D.C. to HQDA, ATTN: DAMI-POC. Foreign-owned, controlled, or
influenced (FOCI) entities desiring a copy of the releasable portions
of the LOSAT ACTD RFP MUST submit an official request to U.S. Army
Missile Command, ATTN: AMSMI-SI-SS-F, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898;
however, in either case, release is not guaranteed. Request from
foreign industry and/or FOCI entities received by any other means will
not be honored. Because this RFP contains SECRET data, it will not be
issued to anyone not holding a SECRET Facility Clearance and therefore
you are requested to provide a CAGE Code with your request for the RFP.
Release date for the LOSAT RFP is planned for June 1997. THIS SYNOPSIS
