J -- PAINTING 100-TON GANTRY CRANE AND POWERPLANT ACCESS DOOR SOL 1425-7-SI-30-12260 POC Sonja Poindexter, 702-293-8569 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to paint a 100-ton gantry crane and a powerplant access door. Principal features of the work include the following: (1) Surface preparation, application of a primer coat of rust-penetrating epoxy sealer, and a top coat of aliphatic acrylic urethane on a 100-ton gantry crane; (2) Removal of all existing paint, preparation of surface, application of primer paint, and application of top coat of aliphatic acrylic urethane on an accordion type access door with several panels and reinforced wire glass. The approximate dimensions are 25 feet high and 24 feet wide. All surface preparation shall be in accordance with regulations of EPA and OSHA that deal with lead-based paints, their removal, and disposal of contaminated waste. Location of Work: The location of this project is Parker Dam Powerplant, California. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is May 1, 1997. The estimated date for receipt of bids is June 2, 1997. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 1721 and the small business size standard is $7 million.
