Danner, Contract Specialist (202) 512-3552 U.S. General Accounting Office, Office of Acquisition Management, 441 G Street, NW -- Room 6852, Washgington, DC 20548 The U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) has a need to procure interactive (satellite/microwave delivered) instructional television services for GAO employees and is looking for sources capable of providing a complete package with suitable equipment, support services, and programming. Offerors should also be capable of providing an equivalently broad range of both academic and professional development courses, via one way video and two way audio, to GAO in Washington, DC. Features of the system should include, but not be limited to: provision, installation and support of all necessary system equipment; program support and other administrative services such as courier service for deliverance of course materials between the provider and the GAO building; assistance in course marketing; and both live, interactive, and taped course programming (academic for credit and professional development). Among the standard selection of programming from the provider should be programs from National Technological University (and other equivalent sources of course content and range of selection) and other accredited electronic or television based universities. Additionally, the provider should be able to obtain and offer, as technically and administratively feasible, other courses and programs not routinely in their offerings as requested by GAO. All courses should be provided on a pay-per-use, as-needed basis. The contract performance period is a base period (October 1, 1997, or date of contract award through September 30,1998) and four (4) renewable option periods. A firm fixed price, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery service contract is anticipated. Interested firms shall be required to meet the mandatory requirement of performing a line of site microwave reception test to the GAO building prior to submitting its proposal.
