The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for meeting services for an off-site conference meeting package for the MEP Center Directors' Meeting, Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, 1997. The package shall consist of use of a facility which offers a complete meeting package that includes sleeping rooms, a plenary meeting room, standard audio-visual equipment, and meals each day. The location site must be within an hour drive of Dulles Airport. The Statement of Work, which list the performance specifications are available and can be obtained via facsimile by calling the POC listed above. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 53SBNB760100 is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This action is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) code is 7011. The small business size standard is $5 Million. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered, including quality of facilities and location. Offerors shall comply with the provision at FAR 52.212-2 and submit a sufficient description of the items being offered in order to evaluate compliance with the requirements in this solicitation.
