The work of this contract will consist of all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtanences necessary for the drilling, developing, construction, testing, and disinfection of three water wells. Wells to be located at Glen, Sky, and Wildcat Campgrounds, Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, CA. The Contractor shall be a licensed well driller and install wells to meet California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-81 standards or State of California Department of Health Services "Well Construction Requirements and Recommendations", whichever is more stringent. Wells shall be 6 inch diameter, single casing type, PVC, per ASTM F480. Construction shall provide 2 inch grout seal to minimum 50 feet depth. Anticipated capacity is 5-10 gpm. Detergents or other surficant type drilling products shall not be used. Contractor is required to perform plumbness, alignment, and aquifer testing; and pass bacteriological testing prior to acceptance. Project completion is expected within 60days after Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The response date shown is approximate only and will be 30 days after issuance of the formal Invitation for Bid.
