The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifi-cations consists of: Sitework -- Providing temporary detours for public and landowner access, removal and control of water during construction, clearing, grubbing, and stripping of jobsite areas including borrow areas and spoil areas, removal of existing riprap, gravel check structures, bridges, canal crossings, and concrete check and turnout structures including appurtances, concrete or metal piping, and outlet structure, removing and relocating existing fence and temporary fencing, and furnishing and installing new fencing, removing and replacing existing buried irrigation mainlines, seeding of all areas disturbed by construction activities, Earthwork -- Site and structural excavation for three check structures, two road bridges, a wasteway structure, energy dissipating outlet structure, animal escape ramps, utility crossings, farm turnouts and fences, canal excavation and embankments for the realignment and resizing of the existing Stanfield Branch Furnish Ditch, placing and compacting backfill for structures and pipelines, placing and compacting embankments for berms, roads, and ramps along and across the new canal, Road work -- Furnishing and placing gravel surfacing with soil-applied herbicide on gravel surfaced roads, furnishing and placing bituminous surfacing at bridge ramps, furnishing and placing guardrail, Pipeline -- furnishing and placing PVC, CMP, steel, and reinforced concrete pipe and associated fittings at farm turnout and drainage structures.
