The work includes exterior/interior rehabilitation of GOQ-1, a historic two story residential structure with basement located on MCB, Quantico, VA. This project will provide, but is not limited to landscaping and site improvements, electrical systems, boiler and piping replacement, installation of fire protection, kitchen modernization and incidental related work. GOQ-1 is the official residence of the Commanding General, MCB, Quantico, Va. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL PROPOSALS AS A SOURCE SELECTION PROCUREMENT. Award will be based on price and other non-priced factrors which may include, but are not limited to; Relevant Experience and Experience with Historic Renovations, Project Staffing, Work Plan, Subcontracting Plan and Past Performance. Request for Plans and Specifications must be made in writing accompanied with a check for $85.00 made payable to U. S. Treasury Dept, C/O EFA Chesapeake, mailed or delivered to the above address. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick up a copy of the solicitation at Bldg 212, 1st Floor Plans and Specs Office at the Washington Navy Yard between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. PLEASE NOTE: Plans and Specs will be issued on a "first-come" "first Serve" basis. The projected date for issuance of plans and specifications is 23 April 1997. The project date for receipt of proposals is 2:00 P.M. 23 May 1997. There will be no public opening for this solicitation, no information will be disclosed until after award.
