Cadwell, Contracting Officer, (214) 302-7535 The Dept. of Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System anticipates award of a sole source contract to Landis & Staefa, 2049 W. Walnut Hill Ln, Irving, TX, 75038, to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to furnish and install all HVAC controls for Project #AB3095.16, Patient Privacy, Phase I, Building 2, 6th Floor A and C wings at the Dallas Facility, 4500 S. lancaster Rd., Dallas, TX, 75216, in accordance with project plans and specifications. The VA is currently renovating these areas with in-house work forces. Contract work includes but is not limited to airflow measuring device, distributed control panel for AHU, damper controls, variable speed motor controller, smoke detector auxiliary contacts, and various sensors and control valves, all for HVAC equipment installed by others. The DPC shall be connected to the Engineering Control Center recently installed by Landis & Gyr. Contractor will provide all necessary programming and graphics for the new system. Workwill be performed in two phases. Phase I will begin immediately and Phase II several months later. Cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. All work will be completed within a total of 77 calendar days for both phases. Standard Industrial Code 1711, Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, applies to this acquisition and has a small business size standard of $7 million. However, in accordance with P.L. 100-656, this acquisition is unrestricted as to business size. Solicitation will be issued on or about 4/22/97. No bid deposit is required. Solicitation packages will be issued only to prime contracts for HVAC Controls. Only written requests for Soln. No. RFP 549-54-97 will be accepted, must indicate that the requestor is a prime contractor for HVAC controls, and must be marked to Attn: Joyce Cadwell (90C) at the above address.
