Z -- INTERIOR PAINT & FINISHED SURFACE PREPARATION, OCCUPIED FAMILY HOUSING UNITS WHEN PREVIOUS COATS OF PAINT CONTAIN LEAD OR ASBESTOS AT THE MARINE CORPS BASE, CAMP LEJEUNE, NORTH CAROLINA SOL N62470-97-B-5829 DUE 052997 POC Kathie Rowe, (910) 451-2582, FAX (910) 451-5629 The work includes partial painting of occupied Family Housing units where paint is contaminated with lead or asbestos. A minimum of one room shall be issued to be painted. The measurements of each room shall be its length plus width times 2 times height for walls and its length times width for ceilings. No deduction shall be taken for any window or door opening. The contractor shall submit a combined lead and asbestos hazard plan. Under lead and asbestos conditions, the room encapsulation shall be the same. The contractor shall use a local exhaust system which creates negative air pressure to prevent the spread of dust to other areas of the house. All paint preparation work shall be performed by personnel who have a valid accreditation for asbestos removal in the State of North Carolina, and incidental related work. All work shall be performed in accordance with OSHA REG. 29 CFR 1926.62 and North Carolina General Statutes and Regulation under Title 15 N.C. This is an Indefinite Quantity type contract to be awarded for a period of one year and a guaranteed minimum of 8% of the total estimated quantity. Estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. A subcontracting plan is required if the contract is awarded to a large business. The proposed contract is unrestricted, the size standard for which a concern, including its affiliates, having sale or receipts for its preceding three fiscal years not in excess of $7,000,000.
