Work includes strengthening concrete foundations; bracing steel frames, masonry walls, piping, existing equipment, lighting, and plumbing. Work includes rerouting electrical and plumbing to accommodate bracing. Installation of new fire mains, fire sprinkler systems, structural upgrade; new HVAC systems throughout offices, shops and hangar; 4 new rest rooms, new water and compressed air plumbing systems, new overhead crane, new electrical power distribution and lighting system. Asbestos abatement and lead abatement will also be required. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $1 million to $5 million and the effort shall be completed within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1542. The corresponding size standard is $17 million. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about April 28, 1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about May 29, 1997. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about April 28, 1997.
