This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement M6700197Q4112 is issued as a request for quotation and constitutes the only soliciatation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-43. The proposed acquisition is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 0831 and the small business size standard is $3.5 million. ITEM 0001: Service to grow Longleaf Pine Seedlings. (a) Government furnished seedlings and containers, 100MX, (b) Government furnished seed and Contractror containers to produce 300 MX seedlings, (c) Seedlings extracted and placed in boxes; 400 MX . Contractor will grow and pack 400,000 Longleaf Pine seedlings. All seeds tobe provided by the Government. The Government will transport seedlings and containers to and from the Contractor's facility. Seedlings shall be planted mid May 1997, and ready for pick up by the Government in November 1997. Award will be based on price and price related factors.
