The U.S. Special Operations Command intends to contract with Allied Signal Engines, Phoenix AZ for all depot level maintenance, field support services, engineering support services and spare parts necessary to sustain T55-L-714 engines installed on MH-47E Special Operations Aircraft. Services shall be performed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky, the manufacturer's facilities and aircraft deployment locations as may be dictated by circumstances. The period of performance shall be 1 Jan 98 -- 30 Sep 98. The contract shall contain an option to continue services during FY 99 (1 Oct 98 -- 30 Sep 99). Allied Signal Engine is the designer, developer and manufacture of the T55-L-714 and owns all proprietary data for the engine. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the U.S. Special Operations Command. Note 22 applies. (0097)
