Furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to apply a chip seal surface to approximately 60 miles of parkway motor road, turnouts, accesses, parking areas, and a maintenance compound. In addition to application of chip seal surface the project includes spot leveling and traffic control during operations. Approximate quantities employed in this contract are: hot bituminous pavement -- 1,500 tons; crushed aggregate -- 9,200 cy; emulsified asphalt (CRS2-P) -- 288,000 gallons. Project is located on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Northeast Mississippi and a small portion of Northwest Alabama. Pavement operations will commence in mid-summer (1997) and shall be concluded within 90 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000.
