componenets; repair of selected line replacement units; perofrmance of
heavy body and frame repair; technical assistance and on-site
maintenance; fabrication or manufacture of repair parts, assemblies,
components, jigs, and fixtures. To further help US in determining this
approach, we are looking for your IDEAS, thoughts, methods, or
concepts in the area of contractor logistic support. Listed below are
some questions that we feel can help US develop this approach. Please
free to add any additional comments or suggestions. The following are
our questions concerning CLS and we ask that you respond with any
information that we can possibly use to meet out needs: -describe your
current maintenance and parts program used to support your industry
base customers. -- how would you tailor that program to meet army's
need for support above the unit maintenance level. Address capabilities
for on-site repair by contractor personnel. -- could your program
support the army in a variety of geographical locations (WORLD-WIDE),
and respond to the army's requirements in peacetime and wartime
(meaning logisitics down time, need for priority service and wartime
surges). -- How does your support program minimize turnaround time for
replacement items, e.g., do you maintain a pool or replacement items
for those returned for factory repair, etc. Please submit your
