jwarren3@email.usps.gov. The US Postal Service is seeking general
architectural and engineering services for the preparation of drawings,
specifications, cost estimates, and construction administration
required for repair and alteration projects for the six New England
States (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT). The contract will be subject to
negotiation of individual work orders. In each instance, $100,000 has
been established as the work order limit per individual project;
$500,000 has been established as thhe total amount of work ordered per
12 month period. The contract will be for two years with three 1-year
renewal options which can bring the duration of the contract to five
years. The total amount of work for the duration (5 years) of the
contract may not exceed $2,500,000. There is not a guaranteed minimum.
The average work is estimated bewteen $1500 and $20,000. The USPS
reserves the right to select more than one firm. Firms which posess the
qualifications to perform the services described above are invited to
submit a completed SF255, "Architect-Engineer and Related Serices
Questionnaire", and a completed SF254, "Architect-Engineer and Related
Services Questionnaire for a Specific Project" to the abov office no
laer than Tuesday, May 6, 1997. Se;ection criteria will be conducted
with combined use of the SF254 and SF255. Interested firms with more
than one office should indicate on their SF254 and SF255 the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms
(with the use of their consultants)must have on their stafing the
following registered disciplines, who must be registered in all the
aforemention New England States: Architect and Mechanical, Electrical,
Civil,and Structural Engineers. Consideration will be given to
interested firms according to the following order of preference: 1)
Local, being within of the aforementioned New England States; 2) All
others. Architectural/Engineering firms will be considered as local
only if their sole office is in the geographial area or they have a
local branch office and all the architectural and engineering design,
coordination, and management of the project will be accomplished in
that office. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage or
brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from
award of a contract. Oferors are encouraged to suubmit their response
