EFFICIENCY OF COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMPS The following notification is
being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.64
dated 26 Feb 1997. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: MEXICO. If

Energy efficiency of compact fluorescent lamps. Limits and test
methods, (14 Pages Spanish). 6. Description of content: This Mexican
Official Standard is intended to specify the minimum efficiency and
colour performance of compact fluorescent lamps up to 28W and the
minimum efficiency of the ballast used in such lamps.This standard
applies to compact hot-cathode fluorescent lamps with a built-in
automatic switch or starter device (prewarmed start) and to the ballast
they use, for AC120V, 127V and 220V, 60HZ. It also applies to modular
compact fluorescent lamps using electromagnetic ballast and to
electromagnetic ballast for such lamps marketed in the Mexican
Republic. The standard does not apply to lamps without a built-in
automatic switch, colour lamps and ultraviolet ray lamps. 7. Objective
