notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.
G/TBT/Notif.97.87 dated 12 March 1997. 1. Member to Agreement
notifying: JAMAICA. If applicable, name of local government involved
(Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible: The Bureau of Standards
(Jamaica) JBS. Agency or authority designated to handle comments
regarding the notification can be indicated if different from above. 3.
Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where
applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be
provided in addition, where applicable): Brewery products. 5. Title,
number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Standard
Specification for Brewery Products, Approximately Eighteen (18) Pages.
6. Description of content: The document gives definition of relevant
terms, product description and classification, composition, packaging,
as well as detailed labelling requirements. 7. Objective and
rationale: To ensure that consumers receive properly labelled products
of acceptable quality. 8. Relevant documents: A notice of the standard
will appear in the Jamaica Gazette Supplement -- Proclamations, Rules
and Regulations. When adopted the document will appear as a Jamaica
National Standard which will be available for sale. 9. Proposed date of
adoption: June 1997; Proposed date of entry into force: June 1997. 10.
