This effort is for the design, fabrication, and installation of press capability for PBX explosive into the existing BLU-108A/B submunition assembly line at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant. The PBX explosive is an upgrade from the currently used octal explosive which is cast loaded. This action will use streamlined acquisition procedures and the resulting contract will be sole source to Day and Zimmermann, Inc. at Kansas Army Ammunition Plant. See Numbered Note 22. (0099)
