OF THE XM982 EXTENDED RANGE PROJECTILE The office of the Project Manager for Sense and Destroy Armor will host a Presolicitation Conference for industry on 22 April 1997 at the Picatinny Arsenal Command Conference Center, Bldg. #1, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806. Registration will be from 08:00 AM to 08:30. The conference will begin at 08:30 and be concluded at 4:00 PM. The purpose of the Conference is to provide attendees with a more thorough understanding of the requirements of the XM982 EMD effort (draft RFP DAAE30-97-R-0053). No classified issues will be discussed. Contingent upon meeting established requirements, industry of the following countries have been determined to be eligible to participate in the XM982 program: France, Germany, Israel, South Korea, Sweden and United Kingdom. Foreign Industry desiring copies of the RFP which are identified in this announcement as eligible will submit an official request through their embassy to HQ DA (DAMI-POC), Washington, DC 20310-1001. Sections of the DRAFT RFP can be downloaded from our Web site at http://procnet.pica.army.mil. This is not a request for proposal. No RFP is available at this time. Attendance at this conference is not mandatory. Further participation in this competitive procurement is not contingent upon attendance. There is no registration fee.
