Officer, (670) 939-6043 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division,
China Lake, CA has a requirement for the design, manufacture, and test
of an airborne transmitter which operates within the telemetry band
(2200-2300 MHz). The Patriot transmitter produces a Frequency Modulated
(FM) carrier when modulated with a 204-248 kilobit per second (kb/s)
Non-Return-To-Zero-Level (NRL-L) digital signal, a simultaneous FM
multiplexed 240 kilohertz (KHz) subcarrier oscillator and an amplitude
modulated event marker. The transmitter has an integral internal
premodulation filter. The requirements will be stated in the Statement
of Work and drawing package. The environmental requirements are
severe, as it is mounted in the boattail section of the Patriot missile
system. The contract is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite
Delivery, Indefinite Quantity and will be for a five year term. The
total quantities for the five years will include 8 First Article, 300
production units, and data. Requests for this solicitation should be
inwriting and include the firm's Commercial and Government Entity
(CAGE) Code and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). All responsible
sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
The solicitation will be released on or about 28 April 1997 and will
