These workshops will focus on program development, and on providing program assistance to the participants. They will strengthen academic training and practicum experiences for future preventative medicine physicians. Goals for the workshops include development of an overall preventative medicine strategy, service education linkages with community-based partners, employment opportunities for preventative medicine graduates, accreditation and certification issues, innovative methods of financing, and updates from Federal agencies on funding and programmatic activities.
