Y -- EAST ZONE CRUSHING SOL IFB R1-14-97-016 DUE 052897 POC Contracting, (406) 293-6211, Ext. 2274 The Kootenai National Forest (East Zone Engineering, Rexford, Fortine, & Libby Ranger Districts) is soliciting bids for crushing at six project sites. Work consists of crushing and placing 8000 tons of Grading D-SR Aggregate, crushing and stockpiling 92000 tons of Grading D-SR Aggregate, producing and stockpiling 3500 cubic yards of Class VIII riprap, and producing and stockpiling 300 cubic yards of large buttress rock. Pit development, mobilization, and pit restoration incidental to site requirements. Two of the six sites are alternative bid items with award of these items dependent upon approval of required NEPA documents. Total quantities affected are: 26200 tons of aggregate, 2000 cubic yards of riprap, and 300 cubic yards of buttress rock. Estimated start work date is June 16, 1997. Complete date for pit development and and production at one site on Libby Ranger District is 7/11/97. Remaining sites are scheduled for completion by 10/31/97, with Sinclair site the first priority.
