S. C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NCI) intends to procure services to repair and upgrade a Model 68 Mark I Gamma Irradiation from J L Shepherd & Associates, 1010 Arroyo, San Fernando, California, 91340. These items that are needed in order to upgrade and/or repair are as follows: 1) An electro-pneumatic source drive, 2) A new turntable drive assemble, 3) A pressure switch interlock, 4) A model 52 radiation monitor/interlock and a mark I dose rate recertification, 5) Replacement hinges for mark I, including installation on-site and 6) A model 143 device decommissioning. Since this equipment contains a radioative source, the contractor has to be licensed for this work. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, it an interested party believes they can meet the above specification, they must submit their capabilities, and furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough materials to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. Written quotation are required. along with descriptive material of the proposed item which meets all of the specificiations mentioned above. Award will be made 20 days from the release of this synopsis. No collect calls will be accepted. See numbered Note 1. (0101)
