C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR REPAIR AND ALTERATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS FOR THE STATE OF NEW YORK, EXCLUDING DOWN STATE AND NYC SOL 082530-97-A-0074 DUE 050797 POC Jeanne C. The US Postal Service is seeking general architectural and engineering services for the preparation of drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction administration required for repair and alteration projects for the state of New York (excluding down state and NYC). The contract will be subject to negotiation of individual work orders. In each instance, $100,000 has been established as the work order limit per individual project; $500,000 has been established as the total amount of work ordered per 12 month period. The contract will be for two years with three 1-year renewal options which can bring the duration of the cntract to five years. The total amount of work for the duration (5 years) of the contract may not exceed $2,500,000. There is no guaranteed minimum. The average work order is estimated between $1500 and $20,000. The USPS reserves the right to select more than one firm. Firms which possess the qualifications to perform the servics described above are invited to submit a completed SF255, "Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire", and a completed SF254, "Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for a Speciic Project" to the above office no later than May 7, 1997. Selection criteria will be conducted with the combined use of the SF254 and SF255. Interested firms with more than one office should indicate on their SF254 and SF255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms (with the use of their consultants) must have on their staffing the following registerd disciplines, who must be registered in the state of New York: Architect and Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural Engineers. Considerations will be given to interested firms according to the following order of preference: 1) The state of New York; 2) All others. Architectural/Engineering firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the geographical area or they have a local branch office and all the architectural/engineering design, coordination and management of the project will be accomplished in that office. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission,percentage or brokerage fee to any peson or firm contingent upon,or resulting from award of a contract.
