(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) CC-97-R-0004. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP). (iii) The RFP document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-45. (iv) This RFP is issued under Full and Open Competition. SIC Code 3572, Computer Storage Devices applies. Size Standard 1,000 Employees. (v) Provide a price for each of the following line items. Requirement description is set forth in the following paragraph. (vi) CLIN 0001, Server Security Cabinets: Size: Height 48", Width 25", Depth 26"; Physical Description: Vented top, Plexiglass front door with lock, Steel rear door with lock (upper half vented), Two removable, solid side panels, Fan assembly (three fans with guards mounted in bottom of cabinet to force hot air up and out through back and top vents), Solid bottom shelf for server (front and rear mount holds 25 lbs.), Four locking caster wheels to allow cabinet to roll when unlocked; Technical Specifications: Extra long power cabling to allow cabinet to roll out of closet without disconnection, Power connections to accommodate 2 devices at a combined wattage of 500 W, Locks for all cabinets must be keyed the same, Color -- Gray, CLIN 0002, Inside Delivery, and CLIN 0003, Shipping, Determined at time the order is placed based on point of destination within the United States. (vii) FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. 52.212-1 (b) (4): Offerors shall submit existing product literature in lieu of unique written technical proposals. 52.212-1 (b) (10): Provide information on the last 6 contracts/orders completed during the past 3 years. (a) Evaluation factors and their relevant order of importance are: (i) technical capability of the item offered to meet the government's requirement described in para (vi) above, (ii) past performance, and (iii) price. (ix) Proposals shall include a completed copy of the provisions in FAR 52.212-3. (x) FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition. (xi) FAR 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition -- 52.212-5 (b): The following additional FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.203.10; 52.219-8; 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37. (xii) Additional requirements. (1) The following quantities shall be used for evaluation purposes only: (a) CLINs 0001, 86 ea., and 0002, 86 ea. (2) Any contract awarded as a result of this RFP shall be for calendar year 1997. (3) Contract type will be a firm fixed price IDIQ contract, with a minimum guarantee of 5 cabinets. Orders can be placed by OCC headquarters and its six district offices. Unit prices for CLINs 0001 and 0002 are firm fixed priced. (4) FAR 52.215-41 applies to this acquisition. Offerors do not need to submit the information required by this clause with initial offers.
