Department of the Treasury intends to negotiate a Commercial Item (CI) procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) on a sole source basis with Sterling Commerce, 1800 Alexander Bell Drive, Reston, Va 22091 for maintenance of the following software: Connect:Direct Software maintenance for IBM 3090-600 MVS Hub Group 40 mainframe in Austin, TX; IBM 9672-R83 Group 60 Mainframe in Hyattsville, MD; IBM 3090-600 MVS Group 40 mainframe in Philadelphia, PA; Connect Direct Software PC/DOS maintenance for Kansas City and Hyattsville; Connect Direct software VSE Hub Group 40 maintenance for Hyattsville, Birmingham, Chicago, Kansas City, Philadelphia, and San Francisco IBM 4381 mainframes (Austin VSE runs under Austin's 3090); maintenance for 7 RISC/6000 Group 3000 Licenses of Connect:Direct Software; Connect:Direct Software Group 5000 maintenance for a HP9000 I40 model; maintenance for 3 RISC/6000 Group 6000 licenses for Connect Direct. Any contract resulting from these negotiations shall have a period of performance of a base and 4 option years. During this period of performance, the FMS shall have the option of adding to the contract maintenance of additional copies of the software listed above by Sterling Commerce.
