Hansen, Contracting Officer, 916-478-6122, Fax 916-478-6126 The intent of this contract is to secure services for mastication of slash, vegetative debris, brush and undesireable trees in order to prepare for tree planting and the thinning of residual stands of conifers and hardwoods. The project consists of 163 acres, contract time 81 days. The project is located on the Nevada City Ranger District. Estimated start date 062397. The equipment used shall be of a low ground pressure type whose weight does not exceed 16 tons gross, ground pressure shall not exceed a maximum of 6 psi and machine width shall not exceed 10.5 feet. Pivot-operator cab, engine and attachment arm shall be able to swing 360 degrees while the working base remains stationary. Reach attachment shall have a minimum reach of 25 feet. (0100)
