fabrication of a 48'x8' concrete floating dock. The floating dock
modules shall consist of steel reinforced, structural, light weight
concrete encasing a solid polystrene core on all six sides. Concrete
shall be placed in one continuous monolithic pour free of cold joints.
The floating dock shall be minimum of 2" thick, and shall have a
lifetime multi-directional, non-skid surface. All edges shall be tooled
to a minimum radius of 1/4". Floating dock modules shall be
interconnected by a system consisting of the indicated continuous
double walers, held by steel thru rods, placed in transverse thru
holes, surrounded by concrete, and cast into the float. The waler
system shall provide a 1/2" gap between adjacent float modules. The
thru-holes shall be spaced 12" on-center and have a upper level
thru-hole and a lower level thru-hole. Side mounted pile guide
assembles shall permit longitudinal field adjustment of their positions
on 4" centers. Floating dock modules supporting the gangway shall have
increased flotation to support the added load there. Price shall
include delivery/transportation to USCG Station Jonesport, W.Jonesport,
Maine. The solicitation is being issued pursuant to Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. The proposed contract action is for supplies
for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one
source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a
request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received
within ten(10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be
considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to
compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Small business size
