Department of Agricultre, FSA, KCMO, ASD office anticipates this will be procured through Simplified Acquisition Methods. The contractor will provide all labor, materials and equipment to completely install a central vacuum system. The vacuum producer shall be sized to provide sufficient vacuum to all outlets for vacuuming of normal dust and debris encountered in an office and computer center environment. Be sized to allow the continual use of two (2) outlets, simultaneously. Must be rated and designed for an outside installation. Have motor and exhaust silencers installed. The contractor shall install the piping system in such a manner as to ensure 100 percent of the space has coverage, using a 25 foot hose attachment. All piping shall be installed above the suspended ceiling and clean-out fittings shall be installed every 50 feet. Piping drops to outlets shall be installed inside the existing columns or walls. Any damage to drywall or columns, which occurs during the system installation, shall be restored, by the contractor, to an "as new" condition. The contractor shall install all electrical power circuits required to fully operate the system. There shall be 3 on/off switches. The contractor shall supply two sets of hoses and attachments. The contractor shall conform to all local, state, and/or federal codes or regulations that may be applicable to this work. Estimated square footage is 80,000. Installation will be made at the National Information Technology Center located at 8930 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64141-6205. DOL Wage Determination rates would apply. This is a 100% set aside for Small Business Concerns. The RFQ will be available on or about May 1, 1997. (No telephone requests.
