The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) intends to negotiate with the American Society of Addicition Medicine, 4601 North Park Avenue, Arcade Suite 101, Chevy Chase, Maryland 20815 for professional services to obtain information on the decision making process used by clinicians in deciding how best to assess and treat individuals presenting with problems of substance dependence, particularly those patients who also meet criteria for additional major psychiatric disorders. This award shall be made using simplified acquisition procedures. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a cometitive procurement. Interested firms must submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to furnish this requirementwithin fifteen (15) days after the publication of this notice.
