NETHERLANDS: NOISE LEVEL REGULATIONS ON BOARD FISHING VESSELS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.106. 1. Description of content: The draft regulations contain, amongst other things, standards for the maximum permissible noise levels, requirements relating to the measurement of noise levels and the procedures to be followed for measuring these levels, as well as measures for reducing noise pollution (hearing protection and warning devices). 7. Objective and rationale: The purpose of the present draft regulations is to prevent the harm to the health and well-being of the crew on board fishing vessels as a result of excessive noise levels. Correct application of the requirements should also contribute to the safety of vessels and crew. 8. Relevant documents: N/A. 9.
