Contracting Officer Service to remove 3100 feet of 10" slop line in Red
Hill Lower Tunnel, for the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Fuel Dept,
Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. In addition, remove all sludge and gases
from the pipeline. Tests conducted on the pipeline showed detectable
levels of hydrogen sulfide, benzene at 2.6ppm, toluene at less than
1ppm and methane at 450% of the lower explosive limit. The contractor
shall furnish all labor, supervision and tools required to complete the
work as detailed in the RFQ. Hot work permit issued by a marine chemist
is required for any hot work performed in the Red Hill Fuel Facility.
A certified Industrial Hygienist report shall be submitted before
commencement to address all work related hazards. Contractors must be
able to provide proof of experience in exact/similar work for a minimum
of (5) five years. Contractor is required to maintain current insurance
and bonding for this project in the form of a performance bond for the
full award amount. Must be a licensed contractor.A site visit of the
Red Hill Lower Tunnel will be held. Exact date and time will be
announced in the solicitation package. Due to the complexity and
classification of the facility, it will be imperative that perspective
vendors attend the mandatory site visit. All responsible sources may
request for a solicitation package and shall be considered by the
