Aviation Administration (FAA) will be issuing on or about April 11,
1997 a Request for Offers (RFO) Screening Information Request (SIR)
DTFA01-97-R-00033 for the follow-on National Airspace System (NAS)
Implementation Support Contract (NISC II). Total estimated staff hours
are 22,558,080 for a four-year base period and three, two-year option
periods. The NISC II follow-on requirement will provide continued
support for transition, integration, and implementation of selected FAA
Facilities and Equipment (F&E) programs identified within the Aviation
System Capital Investment Plan (CIP). NISC II will be broad in scope
and shall provide critical technical and planning assistance to a wide
range of FAA organizations within thirteen functional areas addressed
in the Statement of Work. These functional areas represent a diverse
set of work activities, which require a broad range of labor categories
and skill levels within each labor category. The work to be performed
will be accomplished at theFAA headquarters, regional offices,
aeronautical center, technical center and other specific field sites
within the United States; including its possessions and territories,
the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, as specifically designated
within individual task orders to be issued after contract award. The
RFO SIR (and any Amendments) will be available on the FAA's World Wide
Web (WWW) Server at URL "http://www.faa.gov/nisc/rfosir" where it can
be read or downloaded. In addition, an announcement regarding this RFO
SIR will be posted to the FAA's WWW Server on the Office of
Acquisitions -- Contracts Division, Directory of Contract Opportunities
Page (at URL "http://www.faa.gov/asu/cd/cdco.htm"). Interested parties
should check these sites frequently for any amendments in that there
will be no further CBD announcements regarding this RFO SIR nor will a
mailing list of interested parties be maintained. Hard copies of the
NISC II RFO SIR will not generally be made available as interested
parties in the NISC II effort are expected to be capable of accessing
